How much will it cost to clean my home?
Here at California Green Cleantm, we price our services differently. We charge by the room and not by the hour for ongoing service. We feel this is distinctly advantageous for our clients for several reasons. Most importantly, we do not leave until your home is clean! You can rest assured that if it takes more time to get your home cleaned, it will be completed properly since we are not charging by the hour. Also, charging by the room allows you to pick and choose rooms you want cleaned. If a room is seldom used, you can elect to forgo cleaning that room. We do request, for scheduling purposes, that you let us know in advance if you want rooms added to or taken out of your normal service. Our base rate is $69.95 for your first five rooms and $10.95 per additional room. This rate includes all of our products and methods in the California Green Clean system to ensure your home is thoroughly cleaned in an environmentally responsible way that is much healthier for you, your family, your pets, and the environment.
One time service which include spring cleaning, move in and move out cleaning, post construction cleaning and deep cleaning are charged out by the hour. We are able to work up an estimate via telephone to approximate the cost based on your individual needs. Please call our office for more details.

Will it cost the same amount every cleaning?
California Green Clean charges the same for weekly and biweekly service. Monthly cleanings typically cost 30% more than biweekly cleaning. The home has more time to become dirtier and therefore, takes longer to clean. When we first meet with you, we will assess the condition of your home. Our initial cleaning most always cost more. The increased cost is proportional to the extra time spent. For example, if we spend 50% longer in your home than "normal" the cleaning will cost 50% more. As part of the initial cleaning fee, we also supply our customers who are establishing regular service a set of their own color coded cleaning cloths. These environmentally friendly cloths are kept in your home to prevent cross contamination with other client's homes. After the California Green Clean staff brings your home up to our cleanliness standards, your home cleaning costs will remain the same.

Do you guarantee a day and time for my cleaning?
We will guarantee the specific day for your scheduled cleaning. In addition, we will make every effort to arrive within a 2 hour window of the time we are scheduled. If a situation arises where we will miss the two hour window, you will be contacted.

What happens if I need to reschedule?
Please contact the California Green Clean office within a minimum of 48 hours before your cleaning. We book our clients into specific time blocks and do not overbook. To retain our hard working, talented, and courteous staff, their earnings must be consistent. Therefore, we will charge a minimum of $69.95 five room cleaning fee to those clients that do not cancel before the 48 hour cancellation period. Thank you for understanding!

How do I let the housekeeper into my home?
This is up to you. We are willing to keep a copy of your key in our office that is coded so that only our owner and manager have access to the code and key. The codes are kept in an encrypted file in a password protected PC. You can always choose to hide a key outside your home on the day of the cleaning.

What should I do about my alarm?
We can keep your alarm code in an encrypted, password protected file in our office computer. If you desire, you may set a temporary code for the staff person. You can also choose to leave the alarm off and leave the code for the housekeeper to reset upon leaving your home. The choice is yours to make. Please, it is imperative that you communicate your choice to us.

What should I do with my pets?
We must know about all pets when establishing your service schedule. We may request your pets be restricted from the areas in which we are cleaning, although this is not required unless your pet is unfriendly to strangers .

Are my valuables safe?
If you have special valuables, please put them away or instruct us not to touch them. Closed drawers and doors are a signal to us to stay out of the area except if specific instructions are agreed upon between you and your housekeeper. California Green Clean cleaners are bonded for your protection. Also, the cleaner is back ground checked and drug testing by an independent service upon being hired. Random drug testing is also performed.

Do I provide the cleaning products?
As part of the California Green Clean system, we supply all of the environmentally friendly cleaning products to clean your home. Please be assured the products we use are excellent at cleaning. We also utilize four level filtration vacuums that are certified by the American Lung Association to not pollute your indoor air. In addition, you are sold, at our cost, a supply of microfiber cloths that are to your home during your first cleaning if you are to be receiving regular service. We wash them upon finishing the cleaning of your home. If you are a client desiring a one-time cleaning, we will supply the microfiber cloths.

How do I pay for my cleaning?
You may pay by cash, credit card, or check. We prefer cash or check as opposed to credit card. However, if a credit card on file works best for you that is fine. For your peace of mind, once we enter your credit card number into our encrypted virtual terminal we are only able to see the last four digits. We do not keep hard copy receipts with your credit card number in our office. If paying by check or with cash please leave either in an obvious place for your housekeeper. Please note we do require payment at time of service as we do not bill. Also, a fee will be accessed for all returned checks.
