We drive to estimates and run errands in a hybrid car.
We practice green office practices- recycling, powering off electronics when not in use, using both sides of the paper, using 100% post consumer content paper, publishing our marketing materials on recycled paper, keeping our thermostat at 68 degrees in the winter and 78 in the summer, using reusable dishware, keeping lights off in rooms we are not working in and the list goes on. All these little efforts may seem inconsequential, but they add up! Less trees being cut down, less chemicals introduced into our environment, less demands on the power grid- you get the picture.
Our cleaners utilize Green cleaning products, Green vacuums and microfiber. We carry no toxic products- ever! Disposable cleaning products like Swiffers and paper towels are not used in our cleanings.
Our cleaner's schedules are arranged to minimize both drive time and mileage.
Green Seal Institute Residential Cleaning Service Certification
California Green Clean is the first home cleaning service to be Green Seal Certified in the country! From Green Seal's website, "Green Seal is a pioneer in promoting a sustainable economy. In 1989
there were no other environmental certification programs in the US and
our founders had the foresight to recognize the need for a tool to help
shoppers find truly green products. They developed the Green Seal as a
non-profit to stand for absolute integrity. Over the years the
reputation of the Seal brand has grown to symbolize environmental
leadership, and it continues to represent unquestionably green products
and services."
Green Seal began certifying home cleaning companies in 2010. For California Green Clean, the certification process was daunting to navigate. The journey was complicated, stringent and required us to document all of our Green business practices. At the end of the documentation phase, a auditor did a thorough in-house analysis to ensure we conform to the required and documented practices. California Green Clean is a most conscientious environmentally responsible organization. We are very proud to be Green Seal Certified cleaning company.

After a business has received their certification, they are subject to unannounced drop-in audits to ensure standards of the program continue to be met. California Green Clean has proudly been a member since 2008.

We want our clients to be truly satisfied with their California Green Clean service. We strive everyday to make sure our clients are satisfied- from their initial first cleaning to all cleanings as time goes on. This is demonstrated by a follow up call when the first, or one time cleaning, is completed. After that we periodically check in with our clients to make sure they remain happy with our service. We always encourage feedback. We have a client survey form on our website and always welcome client calls. In the rare instance a client is unhappy, we make every attempt to make amends. If an issue with a cleaning has occurred please notify us within 24 hours. We will resend the cleaner to finish the service at no additional charge or refund money depending on the client's desire. The key here is communication, sooner rather than later.

To earn the right to display the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International seal of excellence, California Green Clean provided the following documentation: Proof of insurance, proof that background checks are performed on prospective employees, documentation that the company participated in on-going industry and educational programs and documentation we have been in business for two years.
