1. My best clients are people who work for their money, like teachers, bartenders and cops. Rich people think they're doing you a favor by allowing you to scrub their toilets. Working people understand you are doing them a service by making their lives easier. I can honestly say that we love most all of our clients! It is a rarity, thank goodness, when either our office staff or our cleaners encounter the attitude of snobiness. We are most always appreciated for taking the cleaning off our client's to do list.
2. I wish you wouldn't insist on bleach and other harsh cleaners. For almost every situation, there's an eco-friendly option that's just as effective. And, that is the only way we clean here at California Green Clean!
3. After I leave, check the base of the toilet and the top of the fridge. If they're clean, you know I'm thorough. Great point!
4. Many cleaning companies do not run any sort of background check or even check references. I answered an ad, I was on time and presentable, and I was willing to take the job. That is all most companies care about. Everyone at California Green Clean has been background checked and drug tested. We also check references!
5. Even though I smile and act interested, don't use me as your therapist, gossip buddy or friend. We love our clients so I really don't agree with this. We send our clients the same cleaners every cleaning to build a relationship built on trust and mutual respect.

7. If you use a service instead of an individual, ask for the same people every time. Your cleanings will be more consistent, with fewer strangers in your home. A non-issue because this is standard policy.
8. When using a new maid service, leave a few dollars hanging out of a pants pocket or lying on the counter. This has never been an issue at California Green Clean. We hire quality employees that are vetted thoroughly for honesty. And, we hire people I am comfortable cleaning my OWN home.
9. Make sure we're bonded and have liability
insurance. Otherwise, you're on the hook if we break something or get hurt on
the job.This does not mention worker's compensation insurance which is the only type of insurance that will cover worker injury in your home. Liability insurance covers property damage ONLY! Make sure you are protected with both types of insurance for all service providers allowed in your home. And, yes, California Green Clean carries all types of insurance to protect our clients.
10. Pick your clothes up off the floor, get your dishes out of the sink, and clean up your kids' toys. Your house will end up a lot cleaner.We ask our clients to pick up before we come so we can do the real cleaning. A picked up and CLEAN home is the perfect recipe for the "clean house buzz."
11. If you leave your personal life out for us to see, we most definitely will talk about you. This is simply not tolerated here at California Green Clean EVER!We stress to our cleaners that our clients lives are private and they are not to be talked about.
12. Recommend us to your friends. We may give you $25 to $50 off a cleaning for each referral—if you ask. We offer a 1/2 price cleaning to every referral that you send our way that establishes ongoing service AND a $20 credit for the new client!
13. If you don't have a lot of cash, ask me to come for just one hour. I can do just the bathrooms and the kitchen or only the areas guests will see. We have a minimum of 2 hours- sorry.
